Dr. Kelly Horner, C. Psych., is the Founder and Director of EBT3, Dr. Horner received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Albany, State University of New York (SUNY).  

Dr. Horner brings over 20 years of experience to the practice. She has been the Director of the Sexual Assault Resource Center SUNY at Albany and was also the Director of the Ryerson Clinical Psychology practicum a partnership with St. Michael’s Academic Family Health Center. She also was a past Board Member on the Ontario Psychological Association.

Dr. Horner is a culturally competent clinician and is also queer, genderqueer, trans/non-binary, and poly positive in her practice. Dr. Horner is a seasoned clinician who values the importance of the client/clinician relationship. She works with older adolescents (age 16 and up), college age populations, adults and couples.

At EBT3 Dr. Horner provides assessment and treatment focused on mood, anxiety, trauma, alcohol-related disorders, and relationship distress. She also works with young adults dealing with transitions throughout their university programs, and during their undergraduate and graduate years.

She has been trained in several evidenced-based treatments such as:  

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy

  • Cognitive processing therapy

  • Brief motivational interviewing

  • Gottman method for couples

She has also given numerous trainings in the areas of alcohol dependence, sexual abuse, dating violence, healthy relationships. and supervision.  

Dr. Horner also provides clinical supervision to psychologists, psychology interns and psychology students.
